'Bee' netball: Children aged 7–10 years

5.00–5.35pm Year 3 & Beginners Year 4/5/6
A great introduction to netball for young children. Fun bite sized 35-minute sessions that introduce netball through fun and games. In association with England Netball's Bee programme
5.40-6.25pm Bee Netball Under 12's
Netball for young children who have experience of netball rules, includes the opportunity to experience competitive netball at county level. Still following the Bee programme and covering behaviours as well as skills

Junior netball: Children aged 11–16 years

6.30-7.30pm (Yrs 7-9)
7.30-8.30pm (Yrs 9-11)

Our Junior netball is for older children. A session for beginners and those that have played at school or have come up through Bee netball. This session is focused on growing skill, confidence and fitness whilst still having fun.
We will also enter County Netball from September 2023 for this age group

Useful Information
The club holds public liability insurance and all our under-16 members that play in County netball will need to be affiliated to England Netball which gives them extra cover as well as other benefits. Whilst this is optional the club recommends registering your child as an England Netball member and we can help with the registration process if required
Please wear appropriate clothing when attending: Trainers with ankle support are recomended. No jewellery or watches are to be worn
We don’t have a Club ‘uniform’ but you can buy our branded products via the below link.
Our Junior and Bee Netball are subject to an annual joining fee and then a pay-when-you-play.
We play during term time only but may offer additional summer camps or friendly games (for the juniors).

Whats been happening........
GOALFEST
Our Bees and Juniors took part in the clubs first fundraiser in October. They got sponsored to score as many goals as possible within the time calculated by 1 minute per person taking part .
The Bees scored a fantastic 186 goals
The Under 14 scored 121 goals
The under 16 scored 214 goals!!!
Top scorers were Holly, Esme W, Olivia, Eva and Peyton
All money raised goes directly to each group - Well done girls!!!!
Competitive Netball
Wellington Netball Club has seen our under 16's start their competitive netball journey this year - taking part in the Somerset County Leagues.
A great Season with our Under 14B performing outstandingly given how many under 12's they have in their squad
Our under 16B Team were runners up 2024
Our Under 12 's made up from some Bees and some under 14 were runners up in the End of Season Tournament
A fantastic achievement the club is so proud of them all!!!!
